Sponsored by the SLU Criminology and Criminal Justice Club, the trip offered our students an insight into the history of incarceration, with a focus on Missouri's own past. During a tour of the facility, the group shared a meeting with a former resident, who detailed firsthand experiences and personal stories from behind the walls.

This educational outing was designed to not only provided a tangible connection to theoretical knowledge, but also to develop a deeper understanding of the complexities of the criminal justice system.
