by Joe Barker
A total solar eclipse made it's way across the United States on Monday, April 8, and
students at Saint Louis University stepped outside to view the rare event.
A solar eclipse happens when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, casting
a shadow that blocks out the light from the sun. St. Louis wasn't quite in the full
path of totality, but the sun was still 99% obscured.
