Faculty, Staff Can Take Mental Health First Aid Course

Saint Louis University faculty and staff can sign up for the Mental Health First Aid course to increase their awareness and knowledge about assisting someone in the SLU community with a mental health challenge. Training sessions are offered throughout the spring semester. 

During the course participants will learn:

• Common signs and symptoms of mental illness
• How to interact with a person in crisis
• How to connect the person with help & resources
• Expanded content on trauma, addiction and self-care

This 8-hour training is split into two days allowing for more flexibility is scheduling.
