Papers Selected for 2024 St. Louis-Madrid Undergraduate Art History Symposium

The Art History Program of the Fine and Performing Arts Department at Saint Louis University will host the fourth annual St. Louis-Madrid Undergraduate Art History Symposium on Friday, April 12. The event will begin at 9 a.m. St. Louis time and at 4 p.m. in Madrid.

SLU Art History students submit papers to be considered for presentation in this annual event. The following students have been selected to present their papers live.

• Lau Dodd, "Saint Ignatius: Soldier, Beggar, Saint" (Madrid)
• Simona Fernández, "El Movimiento Estridentista: On Forging a Mexican Modern Identity" (Madrid)
• Yancy McCarron, "Baltimore Album Quilts: A Reflection of Women, Politics, and War" (St. Louis)
• Weronika Grajdura, "The Unwilling Captive: Liminality and Captivity in Bradley Chauncey Ives' Undine" (St. Louis)

The papers will be presented live in Xavier Hall, Room 116.  Refreshments will be served.  The event will also be on Zoom for anyone who can't attend in person. To get a Zoom ink, email arts@slu.edu.
