Applications Open for Three-Minute Thesis Competition for Doctoral and Master's Students
The Office of Graduate Education invites doctoral and master's students to participate in Saint Louis University’s Annual Three-Minute Thesis Competition.
This is an opportunity for students to develop their presentation and research communication skills and enhance their ability to effectively explain their research to a non-specialist audience. The deadline to apply is Monday, Feb. 2, 2026.
Students will have three minutes and one PowerPoint slide to share their research and show the audience what it means and why it matters. The competition offers prizes in both categories.
Currently enrolled doctoral and master's candidates who have successfully passed their prospectus proposal by the presentation date are eligible to participate.
The competition for master’s students will be held in person from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026. The competition for doctoral students will be held in person from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb18, 2026.
