SLU Cybersecurity Students Achieve Top National Rankings in Fall 2025 NCL Competition
Saint Louis University students showcased top performance in the individual National Cyber League (NCL) Fall 2025 season.
The NCL Individual Game, held on October 13, challenged over 7,872 students nationwide through complex, real-world scenarios designed to test critical skills such as cryptography, open-source intelligence, log analysis, network traffic inspection, reverse engineering, and web exploitation. Among the thousands of competitors, SLU had eight participants ranking in the top 10 percent nationally.
Abishek Narayanamoorthi led the group with a Rank of 124, which placed in the top 2 percent of competitors.
Other top achievers included Sai Kumar Anamaneni Sayeeswaran (top 3 percent, Rank 231), Sai Deshik Sandakacharla (top 4 percent, Rank 254), Karnika Kuruba (top 4 percent, Rank 260), Leena Sai Sree Maridi (top 7 percent, Rank 487), Madhan Mohan Reddy (top 8 percent, Rank 598), Swarupa Jeedimetla (top 9 percent, Rank 670), and Saheed Abiodun Adebayo (top 10 percent, Rank 708).
"This achievement underscores the collaborative learning culture within the Cyber Billikens community, where students regularly practice together, share knowledge, and tackle sophisticated cybersecurity challenges," ” said Maria Weber, SLU’s cybersecurity program director. "Their success is a testament to the university’s mission to develop future-ready professionals equipped with technical expertise, critical thinking, ethical leadership, and a commitment to continuous learning."
The team was led Weber and was assisted by SLU alumnus Syam Sai Siddabhattula, whose strategic guidance helped refine their technical approach and competition readiness.
