SLU to Celebrate International Education Week
Saint Louis University will celebrate the 2025 International Education Week starting on Monday, Nov. 17.
International Education Week 2025 is runs through Friday, Nov. 21, 2025. Eight events are scheduled throughout the week that are open to all members of the SLU community.
Study Abroad Info Session
- Monday, Nov. 17, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Des Peres Hall 108
- Join the Study Abroad Office to explore the many opportunities available for SLU students to study abroad.
International Trivia Night
- Monday, Nov. 17, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Center for Global Citizenship Auditorium
- Attendees will be asked to test their global knowledge at International Trivia Night. Hosted by Office of International Services during International Education Week, this free event will feature trivia, popcorn and prizes. No team, no problem — solo players will be matched up when they arrive.
Say What?! Global Slang Challenge
- Wednesday, Nov. 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Beracha Hall Lounge
- Join GSA International Affairs and INTO SLU for a interactive language exchange game exploring slang in English and languages around the world. Participants will complete five “missions” by guessing meanings and translating phrases to win a prize.
Parade of Nations and Global Mixer
- Wednesday, Nov. 19, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., ending at the Center for Global Citizenship
- The Cross-Cultural Center will host a Parade of Nations across campus, followed by a Global Mixer in the Center for Global Citizenship. The Parade of Nations will take place from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., starting behind the Busch Student Center and ending at the Center for Global Citizenship. The Global Mixer with international foods will start immediately after and run from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
An Author Challenge: Fyodor Dostoevsky vs. Lev Tolstoy
- Thursday, Nov. 20, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Busch Student Center Room 251B
- Who’s the greater Russian author—Dostoevsky or Tolstoy? Join Elizabeth Blake, Ph.D>, Russian Studies professor in the Department of Linguistics, Literatures, and Cultures, for An Author Challenge: Fyodor Dostoevsky vs. Lev Tolstoy. After exploring their most famous works and ideas with Blake, participants will cast their vote for the ultimate literary champion. Snacks will be offered.
Cultural Fashion Show
- Thursday, Nov. 20, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Center for Global Citizenship Auditorium
- Discover how fashion tells a story at the Cultural Fashion Show, hosted by GSA International Affairs. The event will feature international fashion, culture, and a taste of global cuisine.
GSI Movie Night
- Friday, Nov. 21, doors open 6 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:30 p.m.. Cool Hall AB Auditorium
- Graduate Student Initiatives will host a showing of Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning. International snacks will be served.
