Book Talk with Jonathan Pulphus Is October 21
"With My People: Life, Justice, and Activism Beyond the University" is the debut book of Jonathan Pulphus, a Saint Louis University alumnus, former organizer in the Ferguson Uprising, and an equity advocate.
A book talk will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, in the Center for Global Citizenship Auditorium.
The book examines what it takes for college-age social change leaders to engage in social change work from the perspective of an organizer in the Ferguson Uprising.
The book talk is sponsored by the Division of Diversity and Innovative Community Engagement (DICE)'s Cross Cultural Center and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholars. Pulphus will sharestories from his book about his time as a student leader during the 2014 Occupy SLU movement and how it influenced his path to become a community organizer.
This event will count towards class requirements for all Cura Personalis 1 1500 students.
