Career Services Hosting Annual Etiquette Dinner
Saint Louis University Career Services invites students to their 2025 Etiquette Dinner on Wednesday, Nov.12, in the St. Louis Room at the Busch Student Center.
During the event, students will enjoy a chance to learn the basics of business dining etiquette in a formal setting while networking with area employers, who will serve as table hosts for the evening. Students will learn tips to help them stand out as polished professionals during networking events, business dinners, and interviews.
The following topics will be covered:
- Social graces, including introductions and first impressions
- Do's and Don’ts at the table
- Presenting a professional image while dining with employers and colleagues.
- Etiquette for each course of the meal
- Presenting a professional image while dining with employers and colleagues
- Preparing for job interviews that include dinner or lunch
Business casual or business professional dress is required for this event. That means no athletic wear, shorts or jeans.
To reserve a spot, register in Handshake by Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025.
A $30 refundable deposit is required for registration, which includes a four-course meal. Reserve a spot by registering in Handshake. The deposit will be refunded after the event. The deposit will not be returned to individuals who fail to attend the Etiquette Dinner or cancel before Thursday, Oct. 30, 2024. If a $30 deposit is not possible, please email cori.wagner@slu.edu.
