Registration Open for Inaugural Health Science Education Summit
Faculty and leaders from across Saint Louis University will soon gather for the first-of-its-kind intercollegiate summit focused on creating new Health Science Education programs at Saint Louis University.
The inaugural Health Science Education Summit will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, at Il Monastero Banquet Center.
Registration for the event is underway.
“We know that health science education is an area of excellence and potential growth at Saint Louis University,” said Christine Jacobs, M.D., vice president for medical affairs and dean of the School of Medicine. “With representation across the university, we are catalyzing collaborations and new partnerships for programs that will serve students across the continuum.”
The day-long event will feature a number of events, including breakout sessions on degree types, HRSA grants, pre-health pathways, and workforce partnerships. There will also be a workshop on program proposal development and a networking session for generating new interdisciplinary proposals.

Jacobs said the summit is ideal for faculty and curriculum development leaders who want to explore ideas for growth and innovation in health science education.
“We are bringing together experts from across campus,” she said. “We are already seeing some early collaboration for new programs, and we are excited to learn from each other.”
