Pius XII Memorial Library to Host Panel Discussion with SLU Alumnus Jonathan Pulphus

Saint Louis University alumnus Jonathan Pulphus will return to campus on Monday, Oct. 27, for a book signing and panel discussion on his recent work, "With My People: Life, Justice and Activism Beyond the University."

"With My People" is the debut book of Pulphus, a student leader during the 2014 Occupy SLU movement, former organizer in the Ferguson Uprising, and an equity advocate.

A panel discussion will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in the second floor gallery of Pius XII Memorial Library.

The panel will include Mama Jamal Rogers, author of "Ferguson in America," T.R. White, a student at the University of Missouri - St. Louis; Julian Garcia, SLU student; and SLU alumna Nadia Abusoud.

The book examines what it takes for college-age social change leaders to engage in social change work from the perspective of an organizer in the Ferguson Uprising.

The bookstore will have copies of Pulphus' book available for purchase.
