SLU Production of Macbeth Runs October 2-5

The SLU Theatre and Dance program of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts presents "Macbeth," directed by Professor Nancy Bell, running Oct. 2-5, 2025, in the Xavier Hall Main Stage Theatre.

"Macbeth" is Shakespeare's classic exploration of the corrupting influence of unchecked power, and the stories we tell ourselves to justify our ambitions. It is the story of one man and a small group of enablers who seize a kingdom and impose an oppressive and violent rule. More than any of this, though, it is the story of the small group of determined and heroic people who come together to stop him. A dark, exciting, supernatural ride of a play, full of sound and fury.

A limited number of free tickets for SLU students will be available at the door for every performance (even those that are "sold out").  Those tickets are available beginning one hour before the show.

Performances take place Thursday to Saturday at 7 p.m. with matinée performances on Friday at 10 a.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

General admission tickets are available through Metrotix. Discounts are available for faculty/staff, seniors, students, and groups of 10 or more.

Seating is limited for this production, so advanced ticketing is highly recommended. Complimentary parking is available in the Queens Daughters Hall lot behind Xavier Hall, located at 3730 Lindell Blvd.

This production is sponsored by Mr. Kip and Mrs. Kathleen Bilderback.

This production features SLU students, faculty members, and guest artists, including Sydney Andrews, Bradley Bailey, Ph.D.; Raynne Banzhaf, Professor Gary Wayne Barker, James Bryce, Tony Chaboude, Ryne Fox, Brendan Gilchrist, David Joseph, Maiah Lyndsey, Maysam Mehrez, Madelyn Purcell, Edward Stafford, Arjun Swaroop, and Lottie Wheeler.
