26th Annual Atlas Week Begins April 12
The 26th annual Sam and Marilyn Fox Atlas Week begins Sunday, April 12, with the Atlas Week Kick-Off Event at 5 p.m. in the Center for Global Citizenship. Atlas Week aims to engage the SLU community through a diverse range of events and programs designed to raise awareness and foster dialogue on both historical and contemporary global issues.
Atlas Week is also a celebration of cultural diversity and global perspectives.
The Atlas Week Kick-Off is the official opening ceremony for Atlas Week and is inclusive of cultural foods and performances. The theme for Atlas Week 2025 is "For those who come after: Building together a better tomorrow in today's world” and highlights the ways in which people defend democracy, empower individuals to resist oppressive systems, and ensure that human rights remain central in the face of rising injustice.
A full schedule of events to occur during Atlas Week can be found on the Atlas Week webpage. All Atlas Week events are free and open to the public. For more information, email luella.loseille@slu.edu.
