Free Student Tickets Available for 'Shadows & Light' Dance Concert

SLU students are invited to celebrate the art of dance with free tickets to "Shadows & Light," a dance concert of original works by SLU Dance minors.

In the realm of dance, we often find ourselves standing at the intersection of shadow and light. Much like life itself, the balance between darkness and illumination shapes the movement, the story and the creative process.

"Shadows & Light" is an exploration of that delicate interplay – the moments of clarity that emerge from the murkiness, and the profound understanding that comes from the quiet spaces in between. Join us for an evening that invites you into the beauty of movement as it evolves, reveals, and illuminates the complexities of the human experience in action.

The performance is directed by assistant professor Holly Seitz Marchant and features original choreography by SLU Dance minors Gretchen Clemens, Sophia Klobe, Mylie Musick, Aayushi Nair, Nina Serigos, Kylie Van Elzen, and Avamarie Via.

Performances are April 24-26 in the Xavier Hall Main Stage Theatre. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Free tickets are available for SLU students at the door beginning one hour before each performance. Discounted tickets are available for SLU faculty and staff through Metrotix and at the door. Seating is general admission.
