Auditions and Tech Interviews Scheduled for Fall 2026 Theatre and Dance Season
Auditions and tech interviews for the Fall 2026 Theatre and Dance season will take place Wednesday, Aug. 19, and Thursday, Aug. 20. Everyone in the SLU community is invited to participate — auditions and technical opportunities are open to all SLU students, faculty, and staff, regardless of major, department, or previous theatre experience.
Students, faculty, and staff interested in performing or working behind the scenes are encouraged to sign up using the forms.
Audition and Tech Interview Information
- When: Wednesday, Aug. 19, and Thursday, Aug. 20, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Where: Xavier Hall, Ground Floor
- Auditions: Main Stage Theatre
- Tech Interviews: Green Room
- Audition times will be assigned closer to the audition dates and posted in a shared spreadsheet.
What Should I Prepare?
Mary Jane
Prepare a 1-minute contemporary monologue, find some potential options can be found online. All roles in "Mary Jane" are female presenting. "Mary Jane" is directed by Nancy Bell, professor of theatre.
The 39 Steps
Prepare one of the monologues from the show found online. The 39 Steps is directed by Lucy Cashion, associate professor of theatre.
