Registration Deadline for Virtual Interprofessional Geriatric Case Competition Is September 22
Saint Louis University’s Family Center for Healthy Aging invites students, faculty and community experts to participate in the Fall 2026 Virtual Interprofessional Geriatric Case Competition.
Designed for upper-level undergraduate and graduate students in health-related fields, the competition gives students an opportunity to collaborate across disciplines while tackling the real-world complexities of caring for older adults. Students will be assigned to an interprofessional team of four to five health profession students and challenged to develop a comprehensive plan of care for a fictitious older patient experiencing multiple chronic health challenges.
Teams will then transform their care plan into an innovative 25-minute case presentation and compete against other student teams. In addition to gaining valuable experience in teamwork, problem-solving, communication and interprofessional care, participants will have the opportunity to compete for cash prizes awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.
Faculty members and community experts in aging are also invited to participate as team coaches or judges.
