Notice of Interim Conflict of Commitment Policy for Research

To align with updated U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) requirements and strengthen the University's commitment to research integrity and transparency, Saint Louis University has adopted an Interim Conflict of Commitment Policy for Externally Sponsored Research applicable to faculty and research personnel involved in externally-sponsored research activities.

Principal Investigators (PIs) and research teams planning to submit applications to the DOE are encouraged to notify the Grant Operations (GO) Center as early as possible in the proposal development process. Early notification will help facilitate timely conflict of commitment reviews and minimize potential delays in proposal submission.

This interim policy has been implemented to meet current regulatory requirements and will be replaced by a permanent policy after appropriate engagement, review, and approval by the Research Policy Committee. For questions or concerns, please contact coi@slu.edu
