Department of Public Safety Announces New Campus Safety App
Saint Louis University’s Department of Public Safety announced the launch of SLU SAFE, SLU's new campus safety app.
SLU SAFE has replaced Rave Guardian as the official Public Safety app of Saint Louis University, introducing several new features designed to keep our campus community safe.
SLU SAFE Features
- Panic Button/Mobile Blue Light: In an emergency, users can press the call button and instantly send location information to Saint Louis University Public Safety in real time.
- Friend Walk: Users can send their location to a trusted friend or family member through email or SMS. Once the trusted person accepts the request, users will set your destination, and the trusted person can track progress in real time to make sure the user arrives safely.
- Chat with DPS: Chat with a DPS dispatcher in real time instead of calling, a fast, discreet way to report safety or security concerns.
- Safety Toolbox: Users can instantly send a location and an "I'm OK" message to a recipient of their choosing. Users can pre-select these contacts ahead of time.
Along with its core features, SLU SAFE provides access to support resources, campus maps, emergency contacts, and campus emergency procedures.
