Healing Harm Event Is February 25
Saint Louis University's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholars in partnership with Descendants of the St. Louis University Enslaved (DSLUE) will be hosting an event with the Philando Castile Relief Foundation at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, in the Center for Global Citizenship Auditorium.
"Healing Harm: Reckoning with truth, justice, and accountability" is a panel discussion focusing on the history of state violence and protest in light of contemporary events.
Featured panelists include Robin Proudie (DSLUE), Valerie Castile (Philando Castile Relief Foundation and mother of Philando Castile), and Julian Garcia (current Dr. King Scholar). The discussion will be moderated by SLU alumnus and author, Jonathan Pulphus.
All are invited to attend this Black History Month event. Members of the SLU community may register for the event aby filling out the Google form. Light refreshments will be provided.
