Events Scheduled for Spring 2026 Wellness Day
There will be no undergraduate or graduate classes for most programs on Wednesday, Feb. 11, for the Spring 2026 Wellness Day.
A number of events have been planned on campus for members of the University community.
Schedule of Events
Digital Detox Challenge
- 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Cut screentime and boost mental well-being with a Digital Detox Challenge from the Department of Communication. This is a challenge to put down phones/devices and minimize screen time during Wellness Day. Keep an eye on the @slucommdept Instagram for instructions on how to officially accept the challenge and participate. The student with the lowest screentime will win $50 in Billiken Bucks.
Free STI Testing
- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Student Health Center (Marchetti Towers)
- Free walk-in STI testing at Student Health Center.
MTGFo Activity Day
- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Marchetti East Lobby, Marchetti West Lobby, and Grand Forest Quad
- Come join the Marchetti Towers & Grand Forest Apartments (MTGFo) team in taking a break on Wellness Day There are three different stations to take part in, each designed to focus on different aspects of wellness. The crafting station lets students relieve stress by being creative and making something new, like flowers and a stress ball. The Hydration + Fuel Station lets students focus on the importance of balanced nutrition and hydration while building a healthy snack bag. The final Minute-to-Win-it station focuses on social wellness by having students engage with others in cooperative (and competitive) games.
Mindfulness Training
- 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
- CGC Room 122/124
- Join us for a 30-minute session of Mindfulness. Learn how this tool can be used to recenter yourself and reduce overwhelming stress in the moment.
Popcorn Stop with the SIC
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Busch Student Center 319
- Take a break with the Student Involvement Center (SIC) to grab popcorn to refuel on Wellness Day
Mental Health Celebration
- 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Center for Global Citizenship
- Take time to recharge, connect with others, and explore campus wellbeing resources while enjoying a free healthy sandwich and potato bar, visiting with Duo Dog Woody, and picking up fun giveaways. Learn more about SLU's JED Campus initiative, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), mindfulness opportunities, and the many student organizations and offices that support mental health and wellbeing. All are welcome.
Wellness in Your Pocket
- 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Center for Global Citizenship
- Stop by the Billiken Family Network (BFN) Wellness Day table and grab a little comfort to go. BFN will be handing out phone card holders with built-in fidgets and small stuffed animals. These simple tools are designed to bring calm, focus, and a moment of relief during a busy day. Whether heading to class, studying, or just need a quick reset, these pocket-sized comforts are here to support student well-being on the go.
Mass and Holy Hour for Peace
- Noon to 1:30 p.m.
- St. Francis Xavier College Church
- Archbishop Paul C. Coakley, president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, is calling for a Holy Hour for Peace. Campus Ministry, Catholic Studies, Mission and Identity, and St. Francis Xavier College Church will jointly host Catholic Mass followed by a Holy Hour for Peace at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at St. Francis Xavier College Church.
Duo Touch Therapy Dogs
- 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Pius Library Main Lobby
- Stop by and hang out with Duo's Touch Therapy Dogs.
Cookies and Beads
- 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- BSC North Lobby
- Join the Student Activities Board for DIY Mardi Gras beads and Crumbl Cookies. Be sure to follow the Student Activities Board at slusab on Instagram for a surprise announcement during the event.
Graduate Student Yoga and Healthy Snacks
- 5 p.m.
- Simon Recreation Center
- Join the Graduate Student Association for some healthy snacks and yoga. All participants must register.
