Seeds Art Exhibit Features Art from Catholic High School Students Opens February 6

The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Saint Louis University is presenting the second annual Seeds Art Exhibit for high school students in the St. Louis Archdiocese. The opening reception will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, in the McNamee Gallery. 

This event is free and open to the public. The exhibit is intended to expand support for the arts and showcase the talents of students in the Catholic schools.  

Participating schools include Bishop DuBourg High School, Christian Brothers College High School, Cor Jesu Academy, De Smet Jesuit High School, Duchesne High School, Nerinx Hall High School, Notre Dame High School, Priory High School, St. Francis Borgia High School, St. Louis University High School, St. Pius X High School, and Villa Duchesne.

McNamee Gallery is located in historic Cupples House on the campus of Saint Louis University. There is no parking lot for Cupples House. Limited, two-hour metered parking is available on Lindell. Additional parking is available in Saint Louis University's campus parking garages. The Laclede Garage is the closest parking garage with a cost of $2 per hour.

Awards selected by the Studio Art faculty at Saint Louis University will be announced that evening. The exhibit will be in McNamee Gallery until Friday, Feb. 27, 2026. For more information about the Seeds Exhibit, contact Deborah Douglas at deborah.douglas@slu.edu
