Academic Advisors Recognized by Students and Colleagues
SLU recently recognized and celebrated three Academic Advisors.
These annual awards honor advisors who live out SLU’s mission each day through care, compassion, and a commitment to student success. Awardees were selected based on survey feedback from students and fellow advisors.

The Rising Star Award recognizes an academic advisor in their first three years at SLU who brings fresh perspectives, an encouraging spirit, and a positive outlook to their work. Recipients embody the energy and enthusiasm that inspire both students and colleagues.
Colleagues describe Morris as someone who makes everyone around her better. She leads with optimism, humor, and genuine encouragement. Through her initiative and creative solutions, she has elevated her team and started traditions that build community and morale.
