Emerson Leadership Institute and Hub for Community Engagement Expand Dignity-Based Leadership Academy to All SLU Students

Following a successful launch in Fall 2025, the Emerson Leadership Institute (ELI) is expanding its Dignity-Based Leadership Academy to welcome students from across Saint Louis University.

Offered in partnership with the Hub for Community Engagement and Barry-Wehmiller, the academy will take place April 10–11 in L30 at the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business. The program invites students from every school and discipline to explore how leadership grounded in human dignity can shape organizations, classrooms, and communities.

Through interactive sessions and guided dialogue, participants will examine practical applications of dignity-based leadership and reflect on how these principles influence teamwork, decision-making, and culture.

The expansion reflects SLU’s broader commitment to forming leaders who serve both campus and community, aligning with SLU’s vision of “Great Cities, Great Universities” which emphasizes deep engagement between the University and the region.

Academy Schedule

The program is eligible for Cura Personalis 2 credit.
