Registration Open for SLU Healthy Aging Conference

The second Healthy Aging Conference will be held on Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6, at the SLU Learning Resource Center. All SLU faculty, students, and staff can attend for free the opening day.

Registration is now open. This is a hybrid conference.  The theme this year is "The Roadmap to Longevity: Strategies to Thrive in Later Life Years."

The two-day Healthy Aging Conference is an overview of the most pressing and innovative geriatrics topics in the field. Presenters with backgrounds in healthcare, medicine, mental health, nursing, allied health, and other fields will share cutting edge knowledge around key topics in older adult care. Attendees will be able to use these skills in everyday practice in primary care, geriatrics clinics, and other community-based settings.

Day two of the conference has three trainings: CST trainings, Loneliness training, and falls prevention training.

There also will be a poster contest at this year's conference. Anyone who has a topic related to older adult health and well-being, can submit. More details can be found on the application page. Applications are due Wednesday, April 1.
