Registration Open, Volunteers Needed for SLU Sigma Xi Research Symposium
The SLU Sigma Xi Research Symposium is returning on Monday, March 30, 2026, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Wool Ballrooms at the Busch Student Center at Saint Louis University. Registration for the event is now open. Volunteers to judge are also encouraged to sign up.
There has been a record of 110 abstracts submitted for the symposium. The abstracts are spread across three disciplines: 1) Life and Biological Sciences, 2) Physical Sciences, and 3) Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Interested attendees are also encouraged to sign up to be a judge for one of the poster sessions. The time commitment is only 90 minutes. Judges for all levels of trainees, so anyone with a Bachelor of Arts degree or above is welcome to sign up to be a judge.
Schedule of Events
- Noon to 1 p.m. : Registration and poster set up
- 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Poster session 1 (odd numbered posters)
- 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Break for networking & reception
- 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Poster session 2 (even numbered posters)
- 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Networking, awards and induction of new members
Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society was founded in 1886. The Society has more than 500 chapters in the world. The SLU chapter was founded in 1944.
