Partial Street Closures Planned for Laclede Avenue
As part of a mechanical project at Spring Hall this summer, there will be two separate temporary partial street closures of Laclede Avenue. The first closure is set for Tuesday, May 19.
A large crane will be needed to hoist mechanical equipment up to the roof at two separate times during the summer. The crane is expected to arrive and begin setting up about 6 a.m.
Each time will require blocking both directions of traffic, as well as the north sidewalk along Beracha and Spring Halls, during the work. The closure will be on Laclede Avenue from the western edge of Beracha Hall to the Spring and Laclede intersection.
The south sidewalk on Laclede Ave will remain open, as well as the actual intersection of Spring and Laclede.
City meters will be blocked in the area, and signs will be posted at the Vandeventer Avenue and Laclede intersection to warn drivers and pedestrians.
The second planned day will be during the week of June 29, with the exact date still to be determined. If the weather causes any issues with the schedule, there will be further communications.
