Caregiver Speaker Series Continues October 12
The Saint Louis University Family Center for Healthy Aging, in partnership with the University of Louisville Trager Institute and Republic Bank Foundation Optimal Aging Clinic, invites caregivers, professionals and members of the healthy aging community to participate in the 2026–2027 Caregiver Series.
The next session will be Monday, Oct. 12, from noon to 1 p.m. with the session "Caregivers: Be Prepared for the Next Transition in Care" featuring Steve Miskovic. The session will be virtual.
Event Information
What happens when you or a loved one is discharged from a hospital, rehabilitation facility, or home health care? Knowing what to expect—and what questions to ask—can make navigating the transition a little easier.
Miskovic will discuss important information caregivers should know when navigating discharges, including MOON requirements, the three-midnight stay rule, discharge notices, effective communication with health care providers, questions caregivers should ask, and more.
The session connects with the Age-Friendly Health Systems concepts of What Matters and Multicomplexity, with an emphasis on helping caregivers better understand and advocate during transitions in care.
The Caregiver Speaker Series is free to attend and sponsored by the Saint Louis University Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) in partnership with the University of Louisville Trager Institute.
