SLU Flu Shot Clinic Dates Announced
Flu season is approaching, and Saint Louis University is once again offering convenient on-campus flu shot clinics for students, faculty, and staff.
Getting an annual flu vaccine is one of the best ways to protect yourself and help reduce the spread of illness throughout our campus community. Flu vaccination can help reduce missed classes, missed workdays, and the risk of serious illness during the fall and winter months.
How to Get a Flu Shot
- Schedule an appointment online through the SLU flu shot scheduling system.
- Walk-ins are welcome at clinic locations, though appointments are encouraged.
- Complete the consent and insurance form before the appointment to help reduce wait times. Participants will need information from their health insurance card to complete the form. Bring the consent form to the appointment.
Cost
There is no out-of-pocket cost for participants. Health insurance plans are billed directly for the vaccine administration. If you do not have health insurance, or your plan does not cover the vaccine provided at a SLU clinic, the flu shot will still be provided at no cost to you.
Why Get Vaccinated?
- The flu vaccine remains the most effective protection against seasonal influenza. Vaccination helps:
- Reduce your risk of getting sick.
- Lessen the severity of illness if you do become infected.
- Protect vulnerable members of our community.
- Minimize disruptions to work, teaching, learning, and campus activities.
