Always a Billiken Program

Celebrate your milestones with Saint Louis University! Your ties to SLU are lifelong. Now you can commemorate that connection through Always a Billiken, a pilot program that sends gifts to alumni who are celebrating a new chapter in their lives.

We are proud to stay connected with alumni at every stage, and know landmark moments don't happen every day. Fill out the Always a Billiken form if you recently:

  • Moved
  • Started a new job
  • Got married
  • Welcomed a baby 
  • Retired

About the Always a Billiken Program

Always a Billiken milestone gifts are exclusively available to Saint Louis University alumni residing in the continental United States. To qualify for a gift, Saint Louis University alumni must satisfy the following requirements:

  • All milestones must have occurred within six months of notifying SLU.
  • The official Always a Billiken form must be completed.
  • A current email address and U.S. home mailing address must be provided. Gifts cannot be mailed to P.O. boxes.

Items and Delivery

Items are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Gifts are subject to change based on availability. Milestones celebrating a new marriage or new home are limited to one per household.

SLU will review new Always a Billiken submissions monthly. All items will be mailed to alumni via the United States Postal Service. Gifts may take up to eight weeks to be delivered to the recipient. 

SLU reserves the right to change or discontinue the Always a Billiken program at any time. Please note that the form cannot be filled out on someone else's behalf. 

FAQ

What item will SLU send?

You may receive a SLU-branded pennant in recognition of your new job, bib for your new baby, key chain for your new home, magnetic photo frame to celebrate your marriage or luggage tag in honor of your retirement. The exact gift may vary based on availability.

When should I expect to receive my item?

We will review new Always a Billiken submissions monthly. Please be aware that it may take up to eight weeks to receive your item.

Who is considered a graduate of SLU?

For the purposes of this program, applicants must be graduates of an official Saint Louis University degree program offered in St. Louis, Mo., or Madrid, Spain. Those holding certificates or participants in outreach or advanced credit programs, faculty, staff, residents and house staff, are not eligible.
