Saint Louis University Scholarship Dinner

Saint Louis University is grateful for scholarship donors whose support helps academic dreams become a reality for generations of students. Their investment in SLU students via scholarship support strengthens our ability to use the power of education to change lives.

About SLU’s Annual Scholarship Dinner

Each year, donors to SLU’s named scholarship funds are invited to our scholarship dinner, where they are honored for their generosity. Select current scholarship recipients are also invited to speak with donors about their experiences and be celebrated for their achievements. The event begins with a cocktail hour and features a seated dinner with speakers from Saint Louis University leadership and a special scholarship recipient.

This event is by invitation only for both donors and students.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is invited to attend SLU’s Scholarship Dinner?

Those donors who have established named scholarships and the students benefiting from those funds are invited to attend the event. SLU's scholarship dinner is not open to all donors or all scholarship recipients. Instead, it is a chance for donors who have established specific funds to meet those Billikens who benefit from their generosity.

When is this year’s annual scholarship dinner?

The 2026 scholarship dinner's date will be announced soon.

The event takes place in the Busch Student Center Wool Ballroom (Lower Level, Room 170). A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.

RSVPs are required. If you do not receive a confirmation email upon registration, please contact our team at stewardship@slu.edu.

Is there a charge to attend?

The scholarship dinner is complimentary for invited donors and invited named scholarship students as a thank you to you.

How do I RSVP?

Registration for students and donors will open in 2026.

Why is the RSVP date for SLU’s annual scholarship dinner early for invited donors?

Your prompt response to this event invitation allows us the time needed to reach out to students who have received your scholarship and invite them to attend.

Why should invited students RSVP for SLU’s annual scholarship dinner?

Your attendance at SLU’s scholarship dinner allows donors to see the direct impact of their generosity. They are eager to hear about your experiences at SLU and post-graduation plans.

What happens if I do not RSVP to the dinner as a student?

If you do not respond by the deadline, a staff member will follow up personally to explain the importance of your attendance.

Will every donor meet the student who benefits from their scholarship?

Every effort ensures donors can meet students who receive their scholarships. Some exceptions may be if a student has a class or work conflict, is playing a varsity sport or is studying abroad. Other opportunities donors have to hear from their students include personalized videos and letters throughout the year.

If you do not have a student from your scholarship at your table, you will be seated with another Billiken benefiting from scholarship funding.

Where should guests park?

Complimentary parking will be available at Laclede Garage (3602 Laclede Ave.), and a shuttle service will be available to transport guests.
