About SLU's Billiken Engagement Center
As part of the Department of Annual Giving in SLU’s Division of Development, student callers gain experience working for a nonprofit organization and have a hand in raising more than $200,000 annually for SLU. Through their calling, they have the opportunity to connect and network with alumni, as well as improve their communication skills. In this part-time position, our student-workers gain real-world experience, grow connections within the SLU community and share their passion for giving back to their soon-to-be alma mater.

Our calling hours are Monday to Thursday, 6 to 9:30 p.m.; Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8:30 p.m. CT.
Yes! Our callers are current students representing their school or college within Saint Louis University.
It's up to you! You can direct your gift to a scholarship, academic program, athletic team, research initiative, student group or one of our many other funds.

If you want to make a credit card gift by phone, please call 314-977-3781. Or you can give over the phone when a student calls. They will ask you which fund you’d like to support, how much you would like to pledge and collect your credit card information. By giving your credit card information over the phone, you ensure that your gift is put to use right away. If you want to send us your pledge via U.S. mail or through our website, please let the student caller know, and we will get you the proper information.

Developed in partnership with Givzey, a Boston-based digital fundraising and engagement company, our virtual engagement officers (VEOs) bring SLU's pioneering spirit, innovative scholarship and commitment to serving others into a new era of alumni and supporter engagement.
About VEOs
As virtual concierges and gateways to what's happening at SLU today, these AI tools offer a new way to stay connected to the University. Through email, text and letters, the VEOs can answer questions, connect donors with members of our team, share opportunities to engage with SLU's mission and help supporters explore ways to support the University's future.
Interacting with SLU's VEOs
A select group of donors has been identified to interact with SLU's VEO. SLU and Givzey manage all VEO communications with a commitment to protecting personal information, which will not be shared with external partners.
