The exercises will be live-streamed on SLU’s official Facebook page and on the University’s homepage.

As a highlight of the exercises, Anne McCabe, Ph.D., of SLU-Madrid’s Spanish and English departments, will give this year’s keynote talk. McCabe was selected as the recipient of the Nancy McNeir Ring Award for Excellence in Teaching by SLU’s chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit honor society. The award, created in 1966, is named after the University’s first dean of women and is presented annually to a faculty member who displays a special dedication to students both in and outside of the classroom.

In the selection process, one of the students who nominated her noted that “Anne McCabe changed my way of thought and without her I would not have been able to achieve quite as much with the art of language. She taught me that writing is a journey on which everyone should embark.”
