Deadline Approaching for Alumni Merit, Pioneer Award Nominations

Saint Louis University’s Alumni Merit Awards are seeking nominations for 2018’s recipients of SLU’s annual honor that is bestowed upon a distinguished graduate from each school or college in recognition of their outstanding achievement, dedication to their profession and commitment to the mission of Saint Louis University.

In September 2017, SLU honored 10 alumni. The recipients ranged from an internationally renowned physician and scientist to a nursing professor.

In addition to the Alumni Merit Awards, the Office of Alumni Engagement introduced the Pioneer Award in 2017, in recognition of an alumnus or alumna who is committed to Jesuit ideals, is a trailblazer in his or her field and whose actions have helped pave the way for others. Any living or deceased alum is eligible for the award.

Nominations for both awards will be accepted through Saturday, March 31. Final recipients will receive their award on Thursday, Sept. 27.
