More About Engagement for Workday

One of the top priorities of the journey to Workday has been to engage members of the SLU community to provide insight and feedback to ensure the University’s new administrative system meets their needs.

Previous open forums, held on the north and south campuses in May, drew more than 200 attendees. There also have been focus involving 30 business managers, administrative assistants, operational leaders and others from both campuses

A Workday Champion Network, which includes more than 70 staff and administrators from across the institution, began meeting in late July. This group will relay feedback from and share information with their respective areas. They will also serve as resources to their peers once the new system is online.

The implementation of Workday will also involve extensive testing. More than 200 functional experts and end-users have started participating in an initial testing phase that will focus on human resources and payroll business processes, which go live in January.
