Raise the Dough, a fund raising challenge sponsored by Campus Kitchens Project HQ. All the funds SLU’s chapter raises will come back to Campus Kitchen SLU to help its volunteers continue the kitchen’s work to understand and address the complexities of food insecurity, poverty, nutrition and sustainability. SLU is competing against other kitchens nationwide in the competition.

Campus Kitchen SLU is staffed students, staff, and faculty members, and is the first Campus Kitchen site in the country.

The kitchen hosts an annual TurkeyPalooza food drive and meals service around Thanksgiving, as well as other bake sales and food-based fundraisers throughout the year.

Campus Kitchen has been a fixture of SLU life for 17 years, and its members have helped drive the University’s culture of service. Emily Corey, now a SLU alumna, was the kitchen’s president when she logged the first hours in SLU’s bicentennial 200-Years-in-One-Year Service Challenge in November 2017. The following year, the kitchen was honored with SLU’s Outstanding Organization Award at the annual Service and Leadership Awards Dinner.
