New Online Ordering Service for Transcripts Launches

The Office of the University Registrar, in collaboration with Information Technology Services, is pleased to announce the availability of a new online ordering service for transcripts through the National Student Clearinghouse, a nonprofit organization serving the higher education community for more than 20 years.

The new transcript ordering service will allow our students and alumni to order official transcripts via the web at any time, any day of the year.

With the new ordering service, transcripts can now be delivered electronically in as little as 20 minutes from when students place an order.

“We are excited to offer this change, since students have been asking for the ability to request and send electronic transcripts,” said Jay Haugen, University Registrar. “Paired with the fact that students receive a CeDiploma when they graduate, a SLU student’s official academic records can now be 100% digital.”

Other benefits realized with transcript ordering through the National Student Clearinghouse include:

National Student Clearinghouse FAQs

Electronic transcripts start at $5, while paper transcripts start at $10 each.  Costs are based on the number of transcripts ordered and the number of recipients.   Students will be able to request paper transcripts, at no cost, in-person when Enrollment Services reopens on Jan. 18, 2021, in DuBourg Hall, Room 119.

Students are strongly encouraged to request PDF electronic delivery for transcript orders to be processed in a timely manner.  If you need to order a transcript by mail or request paper delivery of your transcript, there could be delays in processing due to limited on-campus staffing.
