Dear Faculty and Staff,

Below are a few reminders about opportunities to participate in this year’s open enrollment. Questions about any events this week can be sent to benefits@slu.edu.

Biometric Screening

As a reminder, SLU is providing annual Biometric Screenings on campus this year.  We are partnering with Quest Diagnostics to provide onsite appointments at the Simon Recreation Center and the Salus Center, as well as off-site at Quest facilities.

In order to take advantage of this benefit, please visit https://my.questforhealth.com/ to schedule your appointment today.

Note: Simon Rec Center dates are all filled except for the afternoon of Nov. 11. The Salus Center dates (Nov. 17 and Nov. 18) still have availability in the afternoons.  For further information about the Biometric screenings, please see the Quest FAQ.

Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment closes this Friday, Nov. 6 at midnight. If you have changes in progress but have not submitted them in Workday, they will not be reflected in your benefit elections for 2021.

Note: Elections will carry over for everything except for the healthcare FSA, dependent care FSA, HSA, and the medical plan affidavit. If you plan to carry your spouse on your United Healthcare medical insurance for 2021, you must complete the medical plan affidavit in Workday.

If you want to get the employer HSA contribution in January, you must sign up for HSA in Open Enrollment.

For further information about Open Enrollment (including job aids, open enrollment guides, and FAQs), please see the Open Enrollment webpage.

Flu Shots

The flu season is here.  The best way to protect ourselves, our families, and community is to get a flu shot.

The last opportunity to get your free flu shot on-campus is Thursday, Nov. 5, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St Francis Xavier College Church Ballroom.  It is also open to household members (spouses, partners, children, etc.) of employees.

There is no cost for household member who have health insurance benefits through Saint Louis University or health plans managed by United Healthcare, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, or Healthlink.  Book appointments at https://www.slu.edu/flu/

Walk-ins are welcome too.

Sincerely,

Division of Human Resources
