Spanish Webinar Seeks to Answer COVID-19 Vaccine Questions

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the School of Medicine at Saint Louis University is hosting an informative webinar, "Ya Me Vacuné Contra COVID-19, ¿Ahora Qué?" The event, presented in Spanish, is designed to answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine.

The event will be Tuesday, April 27, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Questions can be asked by registering for the event. Potential questions must be submitted by Monday, April 26, at noon. 

The event is for any of more than 213 million people who made the decision to get the COVID-19 vaccine. However, some might still have questions. During this 90-minute webinar  in research, infectious disease, and community leaders who will answer common questions anyone might still have. 

Panelists include Daniel Blash, Ph.D., Vice Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer, Saint Louis University School of Medicine; Diego Abente, President and CEO, Casa de Salud; Lourdes T. Bailon, Executive Director, STLJuntos; Yvonne M. Buhlinger, MSW, CHCEF, Executive Vice President, Healthcare Foundation and Vice President, Development and Community Relations Affinia Healthcare;

James F. Duffy, S.J., M.D., Associate Dean for Clinical Curriculum, Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Saint Louis University School of Medicine; Julia López, Ph.D., MPH, LCSW, Instructor of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis; Christina García, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Languages, Literatures, & Cultures, Saint Louis University; Rev. José Marino Chacon Mayorga, pastor of the Spanish-language church, La Trinidad; and Jesús García-Martínez, M.D., MSc, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Research, Professor of Clinical Health Sciences, Saint Louis University Doisy College of Health Sciences. 

The online seminar will be moderated by Esmeralda Aharon, M.A., Program Director, Staff and Community Engagement for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
