Representatives from Lux Living STL were also in attendance. Lux Living STL served as the primary financial sponsor of this year's 1818 Community Engagement Program.

Projects ranged from teaching healthy cooking classes for families on a budget to creating a community garden and wellness space for the youth at Flance Early Childhood Center in North St. Louis.  Each grantee will be submitting a final report to summarize their project and the impact it had on the St. Louis community in partnership with a non-profit organization.

To learn more about the 1818 Community Engagement Grant program, visit the website.  Grants are open to all students, whether undergraduate, graduate or professional, along with faculty members who incorporate students into the project.  Each project also partners with at least one community organization in the St. Louis area.

The next cycle of applications will open Sept. 1, 2022.
