SLU’s 2025 Midyear Commencement Is December 13
Saint Louis University will celebrate its newest class of graduates with its 2025 Midyear Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 13.
The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. at Chaifetz Arena. For those unable to attend, the ceremony will stream live on slu.edu, on Saint Louis University's YouTube channel, and Facebook page.
Marcea Walter, assistant professor and director of the Master of Health Administration Program, will deliver the commencement address. Walter was named the 2025 recipient of the Nancy McNeir Ring Award for Excellence in Teaching. The Nancy McNeir Ring Award is SLU’s highest honor for teaching. The award is voted on by SLU’s chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit honor society, to acknowledge faculty members who display special dedication to students.
Walter will be presented with the award at the ceremony. She will also deliver the commencement address.
SLU's Midyear Commencement is slightly different from the May Commencement ceremony. In May, because of the large number of students graduating, the students walk across the stage in precommencement ceremonies. With a smaller group of graduates, students who take part in SLU's Midyear Commencement Ceremony are individually recognized as they cross the stage along with others from their school, college, or degree-granting center.
