St. Louis Sheroes Exhibit
Commemorating women’s history month, the St. Louis Sheroes exhibit scratches the surface in documenting the extraordinary achievements of women with a St. Louis connection who made an imprint on the region and, in several cases, the country and the world. It touches upon the colonial period and nineteenth centuries and extends into the present day, selecting women who shaped the arts, politics and social movements, and the social and cultural landscape of the city.
Take a moment to recognize and celebrate our sheroes during this month-long remembrance established by historian Gerda Lerner in 1979 to bring the stories of often under-recognized women to light. The remembrance is on display all month on the second floor of Pius XII Memorial Library.
Be Heard: Women in Leadership Conference
Saint Louis University’s Emerson Leadership Institute will host its fourth annual Be Heard: Women in Leadership conference on Friday, March 28. The free half-day event, “Fostering Dignity and Belonging,” will explore the role of dignity in organizational culture. This event, co-presented by the Emerson Leadership Institute and SLU’s Division of Diversity and Innovative Community Engagement, will feature presentations, discussions, workshops and networking opportunities.
