1818 Community Engagement Grant Recipients Announced

Recipients for the 26-27 cycle of the 1818 Community Engagement Grant Program have been selected.

A full list of projects, including campus and community partners, can be found on the Center for Social Action webpage.

Grants were selected by a committee of students, faculty and staff, and this year 47 unique student organizations and academic units are collaborating across the 18 grants, a new record. Projects range from lead and radon testing in underserved neighborhoods, community fairs focused on health and foster-care resources, to several initiatives focused on youth literacy and self-expression.

This year's cycle is powered by Ameren, after a $30,000 contribution. Grantees will display posters detailing the impact of their project on the community at the annual 1818 Community Engagement Grant Showcase in April.

Entering into its ninth cycle, the 1818 Community Engagement Grant Program celebrates the over 200-year history of SLU impacting the St. Louis region in partnership with community organizations.
