Dean, College of Arts and Sciences
Dean Donna LaVoie establishes the college’s goals and budgeting priorities, serves as liaison to other schools and the higher administration, deals with personnel issues, coordinates and evaluates chairs and program directors and develops rank and tenure recommendations.
Senior Associate Dean for Administration and Undergraduate Affairs
Senior Associate Dean Gary Barker coordinates the work and planning of the CAS deans, serves as liaison to University undergraduate curriculum and academic policy committees, and oversees college undergraduate curriculum, degree conferral and student academic issues.
Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Distance Education
Associate Dean Kathleen Llewellyn oversees faculty recruitment, orientation, development, and mentoring, and serves as a liaison between the College and SLU's Distance Education Office to support the development and delivery of online courses in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Engagement
The associate dean for diversity, equity, inclusion, and engagement initiatives guides and advises the dean, associate deans, chairs and directors in the College of Arts and Sciences on diversity, equity and inclusion matters. Coordinate and identify program and academic initiatives that expand support for faculty, staff and students.
Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Affairs
The associate dean for research and graduate affairs in the College of Arts and Sciences oversees graduate academic affairs, supports programs, faculty, and graduate students, and promotes research excellence in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Associate Dean for Student Success and Academic Innovation
Associate Dean Laurie Russell facilitates efforts that support student academic success, assists departments and programs within the College of Arts and Sciences in planning for programmatic needs, and supports planning for new academic initiatives.
College of Arts and Science Staff
Oversees all Workday and related processes regarding adjunct faculty hires, work-study students, and student workers, oversight and coordination of all processes and budgets related to hiring and compensating non-full-time faculty and other personnel, including hiring personnel from grants. Reports to the college's associate dean for faculty affairs and research and is responsible for preparing reports and records related to adjunct hiring in the college to ensure compliance with our bargaining agreement with the SEIU for these faculty. Establishes regular meetings with department-level administrative support staff in the college to provide information and guidance regarding processes, operations, and procedures.
Student Records Assistant Jon Graser supports the associate dean for undergraduate education and the advising staff. He assists with graduation verification and degree audit troubleshooting for college, runs graduation reports, facilitates Faculty Council communication, and maintains physical and electronic files.
Business Manager Delia King processes IT and grant-related purchases for the college. She oversees space and facility issues and is the dean's office liaison for activity insight reporting.
Sabrina LeBlanc coordinates academic probation, the Outstanding Senior Award Ceremony, and the pre-commencement program booklet. She liaises with CAS Advising and supports the graduate and undergraduate associate deans on various projects. She also works with office staff members and other departments to process forms, transfer files and update academic information.
Jeremy Nagle is responsible for the college's internal and external digital and print communications and integrating the College Marketing Plan. He manages and coordinates all web-related projects for departments and programs within the College of Arts and Sciences. He is the college liaison to the University’s Marketing and Communication Division and related University committees.
Assistant to the Dean Chris Pudlowski handles a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks. She coordinates many activities contributing to the efficient daily operation of the Dean's Office, including assisting with meetings and travel plans, collecting department and program annual reports, Mellon and Stolle applications, and promoting professional relationships between the college and other units in the University. Chris is also responsible for processing the rank & tenure, emeritus and sabbatical applications as the Dean's Office liaison to the College Arts & Sciences Rank & Tenure Committee and UCART.
