One-Time Volunteer Opportunities

Saint Louis University’s Center for Social Action promotes many forms of community engagement, from episodic service to more in-depth involvement. This list of one-time volunteer opportunities will help SLU students, faculty or staff make a difference based on your schedule and interests. Many are perfect for groups.

Freddie Ford Family Foundation

What: Volunteers are needed for our Back to School Workshop, helping with event setup, vendor support, childcare, speaker support, and event breakdown.
When: Shifts of either 8:45 a.m. - 3 p.m. or 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 21 and Saturday, Aug. 22

The Community Wellness Project

What: Volunteers are needed for our recurring "All Tea No Shade" psychosocial support gathering — a facilitated space for open conversation and community connection. Volunteers assist with room setup and breakdown, greeting participants and handling check-in, preparing and serving refreshments, and prepping supplies for the session.
