SLU Undergraduate Programs Ranked Among Nation’s Best
ST. LOUIS (Sept. 22, 2026) — Saint Louis University has been ranked No. 100 among 422 national universities included in the 2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings for undergraduate education, released on Sept. 22.
SLU also ranked No. 55 among 190 national universities included on the publication’s Top Private Colleges list, a new ranking for this year, and remained on the U.S. News best values list for the ninth consecutive year.
Four specialties in the University’s Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business were ranked in the top 50 in the undergraduate rankings, including entrepreneurship and international, which both ranked No. 15 nationally.
The undergraduate nursing program in SLU’s Trudy Busch Valentine School of Nursing saw the biggest gain in this year’s rankings, moving up to No. 36 from No. 98 in last year’s edition.
These undergraduate rankings follow the release of U.S. News’ Best Graduate Schools in April. More than 25 graduate and professional programs at SLU ranked in the top 100, including the School of Law’s health law program, which remained No. 1 in the country.
Additionally, SLU’s School of Medicine was again designated a Tier 1 Best Medical School for Primary Care in the most recent graduate rankings, a distinction shared by only 15 other American medical schools.
