The Saint Louis University SLU Ride service is designed to provide students, faculty and staff with evening and weekend rides to University buildings on campus.
Due to COVID-19, all SLU Ride drivers and passengers are required to wear face masks. Face masks must be properly in place before entering and remain on at all times within the vehicle. If you do not feel well, please contact Student or Employee Health for to verify if testing is required and isolation is necessary.
The SLU Ride boundaries are Washington Boulevard, Compton Avenue, Lafayette Ave. and Vandeventer Avenue. The SLU Ride fleet is composed of seven passenger vans driven by SLU staff and student workers to take you to and from stops via the TapRide app.
For an escort during or outside of SLU Ride hours, you can still contact DPS dispatch at 314-977-3000.
Request a Ride
To request a ride with SLU Ride, use the TapRide app. Only request the ride when you are ready to leave and remain inside until you receive the honk notification from your SLU Ride driver.
The TapRide app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once installed, open the app, select Saint Louis University - SLU Ride, and login with your SLU username and password. When your ride arrives, you will be notified by a digital honk via the TapRide app. If you have trouble with your username and password, contact ITS at 314-977-4000.
Having difficulties with the TapRide App? Email email@example.com and let us know.
Outside of SLU Ride and shuttle hours, the Department of Public Safety can provide safety escorts. To request a safety escort, call 314-977-3000.
