09/30/2026- Saint Louis University-led research in collaboration with Sorbonne Université reveals that giant fluctuations in wavefront-shaping enhancement provide a sensitive probe of hidden correlations in complex scattering media.
09/15/2026- Saint Louis University and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital have received a $2.15 million award from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for the continuation of operations as a Pediatric Prevention Network (PPN). The funds are a portion of the $22.5 million awarded to Pediatrics Prevention Network, over the course of a 5-year period, to help the organization expand its efforts beyond pandemic preparedness to strengthen all pediatric response capabilities.

09/10/2026- Saint Louis University President Edward Feser, Ph.D., hopes the future of geospatial science involves SLU graduates. Feser shared his thoughts on the future of geospatial science and what it means for the city of St. Louis as part of the Leader's Look panel discussion at the 2026 Geo-Resolution conference. Members of the geospatial community and the SLU community gathered in the Busch Student Center on Thursday, Sept. 10, to take part in Geo-Resolution 2026.
09/03/2026- Saint Louis University Professor Verna Hendricks-Ferguson, Ph.D., has been inducted into the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame in Toronto, Canada, at Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing's 37th International Nursing Research Congress this summer.
08/31/2026- A new Saint Louis University study of nearly a decade of health records finds that the recent rise in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnoses is being driven largely by girls and women, who are being identified at significantly higher rates than in years past, often years later than boys and men. The JAMA Network study is among the first to track sex-specific autism diagnosis trends across childhood, adolescence and adulthood within the same health system, before and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
08/24/2026- Lily McMorrow has earned an NIH LAUNCH Fellowship to advance cancer research at the Uganda Cancer Institute in Kampala. McMorrow, a fifth-year M.D./Ph.D. student at Saint Louis University, brings her research to an international stage, exploring the impact of international funding disruptions on cervical cancer prevention, the leading cause of cancer death among Ugandan women. Her work reveals SLU’s commitment to health equity and global service.
08/21/2026- Saint Louis University students will design and send a science experiment to the International Space Station as part of Mission 22 of the Student Spaceflight Experiments Program (SSEP). SLU’s experiment will be flown to the International Space Station, along with others from around the country, in summer 2027.
08/11/2026- Leslie Ain McClure, Ph.D., will receive the 2027 Mary and Alfie Gray Award for Social Justice from the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in Chicago, in January 2027.
