What's Going On Now? 

  • Community Service Fair - Wednesday, Sept. 7th 10am-2pm in the Quad!

    Want to connect with a community organization, but unsure where to start?  Swing by the annual Community Service Fair, where 75 non-profit agencies who are looking for volunteers will be present.  From tutoring programs to health clinics, homeless shelters to community centers, there will something for everyone!  Questions?  Contact Justin Vilbig with the CSCE, or 314-977-4105.

  • 9-11 Day of Service Opportunities - Saturday, September 10th

    Join the SLU Student United Way for their annual 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance project, assembling and delivering 550 firefighter appreciation packages!  The event will take place on Saturday, September 10 from 9am-1pm in Boileau Hall on campus, and breakfast will be provided.  Please email for more information or to sign up.

    Who - Almost Home, a transitional housing program for women and children.
    What - Almost Home will be hosting its annual Back to School BBQ for our families, filled with activities, games, music, and entertainment. During this extensive celebration, we need volunteers to help us setup tables, manage activity booths, serve food and drink, monitor bathroom facilities and trash bags, hand out gifts, and cleanup!
    When - Saturday, September 10th anytime 9am-3pm

    Who - Alzheimer's Association.
    What - Volunteers are needed to assist with the St. Louis Walk to End Alzheimer's. A variety of opportunities are available from set up, t-shirt distribution, greeter, route and water patrol, usher, thank you brigade and clean-up.

  • 2016-2017 Social Justice and Advocacy Training

    Interested in taking your community engagement efforts to the next level?  Ready to learn the skills and knowledge necessary to work for long-term, systemic change on an issue of social justice?  Apply today for the Social Justice and Advocacy Training!  Through a series of six workshops, students will explore concepts and methodologies associated with advocating for positive social change.  Students who attend all six workshops are eligible to apply for 1 of 3 PAID social change internships the following Fall!
