Graduate Orientations
Saint Louis University wants to assist our new graduate students prepare for a busy and successful year. Our orientation programs for SLU graduate students, graduate assistants and teaching assistants will help you get ready to thrive before classes even start.
New Graduate Student Orientation
The 2026 New Graduate Student Orientation will take place from 4 - 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026, in the Richard A. Chaifetz Atrium in Cook Hall and the Center for Global Citizenship (CGC). Parking is available in the Olive-Compton Parking Garage at the corner of Compton Avenue and Olive Street on SLU's North Campus.
New Teaching and Graduate Assistant Orientation
This required orientation for new teaching and graduate assistants provides information on important policies and guidelines relevant to graduate assistants. In addition, we offer a variety of workshops designed to help new graduate assistants thrive in their new roles. The workshops are open for all returning graduate assistants.
The 2026 New Teaching and Graduate Assistant Orientation will take place from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, in the Richard A. Chaifetz Atrium in Cook Hall. Registration and check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. Opening remarks will begin promptly at 9 a.m.
Parking is available in the Olive-Compton Parking Garage at the corner of Compton Avenue and Olive Street on SLU's North Campus.

New International Student Orientation
New International Student Orientation provides information about campus resources, immigration and compliance. Participants can also to meet faculty and connect with other new international graduate students.
