It is strongly recommended that all new graduate students attend orientation. Students receiving an assistantship or fellowship are required to attend the Graduate Assistant orientations.
New Graduate Student Orientations
Two sessions will be offered on Friday, January 10th:
- New Graduate Student Orientation: 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Sinquefield Stateroom in DuBourg Hall.
- New Graduate Assistant Orientation: Noon to 2:00 p.m. in the Sinquefield Stateroom in DuBourg Hall. Students receiving an assistantship or fellowship for the first time are required to attend.
While not required, new graduate students are strongly encouraged to attend the New Graduate Student Orientation. This event serves as an opportunity to learn more about resources available to graduate students and to personally meet with staff from the Office of Graduate Education.
During the orientation, students can also attend the Welcome Information Fair where representatives from offices across campus — including Student Health, Financial Aid and Career Services — will be available to answer questions.
Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.
