Financial Conflict of Interest in Research Policy

Objectivity of researchers is the foundation for advancing the frontiers of knowledge and the basis for obtaining and maintaining public trust in research. Saint Louis University encourages outreach and connections with outside entities. At the same time, these activities may create potential financial conflicts of interest in research, which must be addressed to maintain public confidence in research. This policy articulates parameters and required action regarding conflicts of interest in research, as required by federal research grants; and is intended to comply with the requirements of 42 CFR Subpart F, Promoting Objectivity in Research.
